How things move and work in the universe affects us all - just as the moon moves the oceans 'to tide'.
During 2012, a number of significant cosmic and planetary events are taking place and ordinarily any one of these in isolation would probably not merit much consideration. But in conjunction, it is a different picture. These aren't speculation, they are verifiable scientific facts.
The recent increase in powerful earthquakes, flooding and extreme weather patterns, shows just how delicate out little planet is.
* December 21st 2012 ( winter solstice)
This is a once in 300 lifetimes opportunity to witness the alignment of our planet, our solar system and our sun with the centre of our galaxy - almost certainly a super-massive black hole.
It is 26,000 years since this last happened and interestingly, we are approximately 26,000 light years from the centre !
Alignments can have significant and varied effects. Even slight changes in gravitational pull, rotational axis and the speed at which we move through space can affect our delicate planetary balance.
*Solar storms
The recent cycle of solar storms and coronal mass ejections will peak during 2012. NASA's models predict that they will be 30-50 % more intense than anything we have previously encountered.
Interestingly, NASA has recently deployed two new satellites on orbits either side of the sun. Early warning system ?
Our reliance on high technology means we are laying ourselves wide open to solar events. Power companies are spending huge amounts of money on prevention and research, in anticipation of a catastrophic 'energy systems' breakdown. Major power outages, one in Quebec fairly recently, demonstrated the destructive effect of the sun. In 1859, a major solar storm incapacitated the fledgling United States for eight days, even though technology was almost non-existent !
*Magnetic field failure
The Earth's powerful and protective magnetic fields have been steadily weakening. The more it weakens, the more rapidly it continues to weaken. Recent tests show that they have degraded 38% already, signaling a polar field reversal. This is a natural occurrence that happens every so often and on a regular basis - we have natures records to show at least 100, with at least 14 in the last 4 million years. We are overdue for one now !
How quickly this happens is still open to question, although there may not be a definitive answer - it could be instantaneous or take place over thousands of years. Some studies also suggest that the earth itself may even stop spinning, grind to a halt, then start spinning the other way !
High technology is especially vulnerable to changing magnetic fields. Electric motors and navigation are just two of many systems that could suffer catastrophic effects.
Interestingly, the human body is also highly sensitive to magnetic fields and consciousness is directly affected by stronger and weaker fields. The network of magnetic 'lines' that cross our planet, often correlate to the status of that area. Areas of low magnetic fields show an openness to change and adaptation of new ideas, whilst high fields correlate to resistance to change and struggle.
The Earth 'wobbles' !
The earth does not spin smooth and true on it's axis, it has a 'wobble' similar to that of a spinning top. It takes 26,000 years for this spinning action to lose momentum and 'unfold' - the effects of which (if any) nobody has a clue about ! The Earth is a living energy entity and any action by it or up upon it has consequences.
The Mayans new about 'the wobble', allowing them a degree of accuracy in their calendars we would be hard pushed to achieve today !
Nobody knows the effects that any or all of these could have, but our continuing abuse of our precious planet has severely weakened it's integrity. The Earth is a living entity that seeks balance and previous events of 'catastrophe' have restored this. If there is a plague, nature will undoubtedly 'move' to create harmony.
Regards the end of the Mayan calendar, new research suggests that there may indeed be a cosmic reason for this end date, as a date of disaster. As expert cosmologists, they were able to see the night sky continuously for a few thousand years. They may have recorded long term comets and possibly other cosmic bodies, such as 'dark comets' that we may not be fully aware of today. Their information is frighteningly accurate, so it is not completely beyond the realms of possibility that there is a disaster on the horizon !
All things considered, on a universal scale we currently have a very loud wake up call. Are you listening ? Many people believe, as I do that the collective consciousness of change is growing and at the tipping point of time, the global mind will shift to initiate a new era. There will be a reconnection with the essential being, that will choose respect for the Earth, the creatures we share it with and each other. The days of trying to fill the unfillable void with T.O.D's ( toys of distraction) will be over.
Our future depends on seeing the signs, heeding the warnings and taking immediate, pro-active action. We have to rediscover simplicity, purity, nature and cultivate respect and understanding.
I believe that 2012 is a significant year for our race, to evolve and to recognize that change ultimately means survival. The definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing over and over again, but expect a different result !
The 'event' of 2012 and all the hype surrounding it, may just be the catalyst that brings that change. Just how bad do things have to get, before we choose to start making them good ?
